On the Marin I used Hannabach Silver Special strings. On the Montalvo the strings are D’addarrio Pro Arte.
The acoustic guitars were recorded by Garth Webber at Red Rooster studio. He used a pair of small condenser Oktava microphones, adding either a Shure KSM32 or a Schoeps condenser mic. The preamps were either Grace or RNP types with a Manley compressor used during mixdown. The recording system was a Ghost board into the Radar system.
